Heat Transfer salts are widely used in the chemical industry in processes which run within an exactly defined temperature range. ‘IJI’ Heat Transfer salts are largely used as a heat transfer medium in the chemical and petroleum industries at higher temperatures than are possible with hot oil or high pressure steam.
HT – 155
HT-155 is a eutectic mixture of salts which when molten has the advantages of uniformity of heating, high heat capacity and high heat transfer co-efficients. It is widely used as a heat transfer medium in the chemical and petroleum industries at higher temperatures than are possible with hot oil or high pressure steam. HT-155 is efficient both as a heating and cooling medium and is used at atmospheric pressures.
In this working range little sludge is formed and no toxic vapors are evolved.
Working Range:- 155 °C – 540 °C
IJI Solar Salt – Molten salt for Solar Thermal Power Plants
IJI Solar Salt is a nitrate based salt comprising high purity nitrates of sodium and potassium. The composition provides superior thermal performance at a lower cost. The salt proves to be very effective and economical when used as a heat transfer and heat storage medium in Solar thermal power plants. The major performance of our solar salt is its ability to store large amounts of heat in a small volume. This is demonstrated by the heat density of 43 BTU/ft³ °F. This heat density is about 2.7 times greater than most liquid thermic fluids (16 BTU/ft³ °F). The salt is chemically stable upto 593 °F or 1100 °F .
